about Pulleys

HEAD PULLEY, SNUB PULLEY,

Head Pulley

Head pulleys are usually located at the discharge point of the conveyor. They drive the conveyor and often have a larger diameter than other pulleys. For better traction, the head pulley is usually lagged with either ceramic lagging material or rubber.

Tail pulleys either come with a flat face or a slatted profile; cleans the belt by allowing the material to fall between the support members. They can be found at the loading end of the belt.

Rubber Lagged Pulley

Rubber lagged pulleys are applied to pulley shells to improve the friction between the pulley and the belt. They optimize wear protection and force transmission and improve the frictional coefficient to almost 2x than pulleys with no rubber lagging. They also improve the frictional resistance between the conveyor belt and the metallic surface of the pulley.

Conveyor Safety Guards

Conveyor safety guards help in improving worker safety. The mesh panel guards of conveyor safety guards conform to OSHA/MSHA standards and prevent worker exposure to pinch point hazards and conveyor nip points. The mesh guards help with the inspection while keeping the workers safely away from moving parts and pinch ends. The wedge clamps allow the panels to be removed and reinstalled quickly.

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) liners are resin-based products with a molecular weight greater than 4 million gm. /mol. As the molecular weight of polyethylene increases, its abrasion resistance and non-stick characteristics are enhanced. UHMWPE liners are used all over the world as ideal flow promotion liners.
